Frobisher Place Carleton Condominium Corporation #82

Frobisher Place is a 28 story residential building located on Frobisher Lane near Smyth Road, in the City of Ottawa

The owners of the 206 apartments share our building’s common elements (such as landscaped grounds, party room, exercise facility, recreation rooms, sauna, and so on). CCC #82 is headed by a seven-member elected Board of Directors. Our building is managed by a professional management company and we employ two full-time superintendents who reside on the premises.

The apartment units take a variety of sizes and shapes. There are large and small one-bedroom units. Many two and three bedroom units go around a corner, with windows that look out in two different directions. There are three-bedroom units with one balcony, and also three bedrooms with two balconies.

Location

Located at 1785 Frobisher Lane K1G 3T7, Frobisher Place overlooks the Rideau River near Billings Bridge. The Ottawa General and Riverside Hospitals are located close by, as are two branches of the public library (Sunnyside and Alta Vista) and Billings Bridge shopping centre. A bicycle and recreation path borders the Rideau River opposite our building. Frobisher Place is footsteps away from the Transitway’s Smyth station.

Our Vertical Neighbourhood

Like any other great neighbourhood, we’re a diverse community. Some owners have lived here since the building first went up, while others have recently bought their homes here. There are extended family groups who live in the building, with parents located on one floor and grownup kids on another. There are young families and retirees. Singles, couples and families with children. People with a variety of cultural and national backgrounds. Owners and people who rent from owners.

It’s a neighbourhood that stretches upward instead of all along a street. And it’s a friendly place where people say hello to each other in the hallways and the elevators.
