At the July 9 Board meeting we intend to discuss appointment of officers, establishment of committees and open meetings as well as means of improving communication.

Highlights of the Board meeting
Officers: President: Mostafa, VP and Secretary: Nadia, Treasurer: Nicolas
Principles: as described by our new President, the Board will conduct itself with democracy, objectivity and transparency
Committees: We established the following committees with associated Board members. Each committee will propose a mandate and seek membership from the FP community. Committee Chairs are bold below.
Building Management: Mostafa, Ed
Finance/Audit: Nicolas, Rene
Decorating and Grounds: Annie
Governance: Doug, Nadia, Annie
Social: Rene
Website: we will use this website for quick updates. The Communication Committee will look at all other means to keep in touch with our community.
Town Halls: this will be one of our communication avenues; details to follow
Summer BBQ: there will be one; please contact the Social Committee

Railings: We will look at installing railings in consideration of residents with mobility issues.
Windows: If you have questions, Ed would be happy to hear from you by email or phone 613-725-4083.
Town Hall: Monday, July 30, 7 p.m. in the Perrier Room. Please come to hear updates on windows, committees, rules, social events and give us your questions and feedback.
Summer BBQ: will be organised by the Coffee and Chat group for late August.
Bylaw: watch for news on a revised version.

This evening’s Town Hall was well attended. Many residents signed up for committee membership. Watch for more news on this site and in traditional formats.

Highlights of the Board meeting
We will arrange further condensation testing of new windows.
The Governance Committee will do further work on rules, bylaws and proxies.
The Governance, Building, and Finance/Audit Committee membership will be limited to owners only. Other Committees’ membership is not restricted. All Committees are active with their expanded membership.
Ash trees on our property are affected by the emerald ash borer. They will be removed this fall.

Highlights of the Board meeting
Our cleaner, Bruce, has returned to Frobisher Place
The Board is looking at further window testing. The Town Hall on October 2 will be an opportunity to discuss windows.
A re-use program will start soon. This will be an opportunity to drop off or pick up used household items that are too good to throw away.
